Biography

Kevin is the founder and President of the Firm. He has served as outside general counsel to numerous local and national businesses and has successfully litigated numerous complex business-related disputes. He is Martindale AV-rated and has been recognized as a member of the Florida Legal Elite and as a SuperLawyer for many years. He is rated 10/10 by both Justia and Avvo. He was rated as one of the Top 100 “Bet The Company” Litigators in the nation in 2019. He is a former Hillsborough County prosecutor where he took over 100 cases to trial. Kevin was recognized by the Florida Bar as a board-certified expert in business litigation from 2020-2025.* The Florida Bar rigorously evaluates the experience and competency of attorneys to determine board eligibility. 

As President of Brick Business Law, Kevin spearheaded numerous initiatives to help the firm grow significantly and responsibly. It has been recognized numerous times for its growth: by the LawFirm500, the Inc. 5000 and the Seminole 100. The Firm also won recognition as a Best Place to Work per the Tampa Bay Business Journal three years in a row, including second place overall, and was a runner-up for Small Business of the Year in Tampa Bay.

In 2024, Kevin led a study to help the Firm operate with maximum efficiency by utilizing AI, automation and data analytics. This study led to a joint venture with Brick Business Law as the model for an optimized and well-managed law firm infused with cutting edge technology. Eventually the joint venture launched a stand-alone company, Lex Velo, Inc., which seeks to help more law firms leverage technology to serve clients better.

Kevin is also certified as an exit planner to better help business owners prepare for the successful sale of their company. His passion for helping business owners succeed led him to launch an advisory firm where he provides advice and guidance with a team of outsourced advisors in finance, marketing, operations and other disciplines to provide holistic guidance to business owners so that they can maximize the value of their exit.

Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and tennis and cheering on the Bucs and Seminoles. He is a member of Grace Family Church and regularly volunteers his time and efforts to local civic and community organizations and causes. He serves on the Board of Directors of the New Life Warehouse, a non-profit organization which provides furniture to transitioning families such as recently homeless, abuse victims, disaster victims and foster families. He also serves on the Board of Directors of A Door of Hope, a non-profit organization which licenses Christian families to become foster parents.

*After assuming the duties of President of the Firm full time, Kevin did not seek board re-certification.
